Shipping & Returns


At the feather bird we care about the impact that our brand and our product has on the environment, and so we have taken steps to ensure that we are respecting our precious planet when sending out your orders. At the feather bird, we do not use any plastic in our packaging. All of our items are wrapped in Eco friendly tissue paper, and posted out in 100% compostable mail bags.

Payment and delivery terms:

(a) orders will not be despatched until funds have cleared into our account

(b) all orders are sent out via Australia Post

(c) All products advertised on the feather bird website are subject to availability

(d) the price for any item is the price stated on the feather bird website at the time of order. Prices are subject to change at any time

(e) by placing an order on the feather bird website, you are agreeing to purchase and accept the delivery of the item purchased

(f) risk of loss and title for the items purchased pass to you upon dispatch from our warehouse to the delivery carrier

(g) the feather bird is not responsible for any delays in delivery caused by any causes beyond the reasonable control of the feather bird

(h) you should inspect product(s) immediately upon receipt of the products, and notify the feather bird within 5 working days of any damages, faulty items or incorrect orders

(i) if your item is damages or faulty, please email us at to organise for the faulty product to be returned (photo’s/description of the damaged item may be requested). Once you have received a response from us, please then return the faulty item(s) in the original packaging along with your proof of purchase, and attach written detail of the fault, as well as your contact details. Once we have assessed your item and if we deem it faulty/damaged, we will replace your item with an identical product (subject to availability), or you may opt for a refund of the purchase price of the faulty/damaged product. If we are unable to replace the product with an identical item, then you may select another product of the same purchase price. The replacement item will be posted at no cost to you, and we will reimburse you the postage costs for returning the faulty/damaged item. Returns for faulty/damaged items will not be accepted if the product has been caused by accident or by misuse from you or a third party, or if the product has been modified in any way.


At the feather bird we want you to be completely satisfied with your item and therefore, we accept returns and exchanges. If you would like to return or exchange an item, please email us at within 7 days of receipt of your item to notify of your intention to return/exchange. Please include the reason for your return and whether you would like to return or exchange the item. We will then inspect the item and send you out a return authorisation for the item.

Exchanges and refunds will only be accepted if all items have not been worn, washed or altered in any way and are still in their original packaging with tags attached. Returns also need to be sent with the original proof of purchase. You are responsible for paying the postage costs to return the item/s. If you are returning an item, once the item has been received, we will inspect the item, and notify you via email that your return has been accepted. We will then provide you with a refund at the original purchase price minus the initial postage costs. 

If you are exchanging an item, please email us to advise of the reason for the exchange, and the size and item that you would like to exchange it for. If we have the requested item in stock, we will post the new item out to you, once the original item is received and inspected, and provided it has not been worn, washed and is returned in the original packaging with tags attached. You are responsible for paying the postage costs to exchange an item, and exchanged items need to be returned with the  original proof of purchase. If we do not have the item available that you are after, you may chose an item of the same purchase price, or request a refund.
